Volkswagen Beetle maintenance schedule avon in

From its iconic exterior design to its finely tuned inner workings, the Volkswagen Beetle is one well-built car. But to keep it running on those Avon, Indianapolis, and Plainfield streets for many years, you’re going to have to stay up-to-date on maintenance.

Andy Mohr Volkswagen has put together this Volkswagen Beetle maintenance schedule to help local drivers keep their car in excellent shape.

Volkswagen Beetle Maintenance Guide: Your First Appointment

After one fun-filled year of driving (or once you hit the 10,000-mile mark—whichever comes first), you’ll be due to schedule your first VW Beetle service appointment.

First things first, the service technician will perform a full visual inspection of the vehicle, making sure there are no obvious flaws. Then, they’ll change the oil and oil filter.

The following items will need to be performed in addition to the above:

  • Check the airbag system for issues
  • Inspect windshield wiper wear and wiper fluid levels
  • Look at the headlight cleaning system
  • Inspect condition of brake pads and brake discs

Going forward, you’ll need to set up an appointment every year or every 10,000 miles. The aforementioned list should be performed each time. However, at every big service interval, you may find some new maintenance items. We’ll go over all the major differences now. volkswagen beetle oil change avon mi

  • Inspect the car’s battery to ensure it still holds a good charge
  • Top off brake fluid as needed
  • Check the shock absorbers and overall brake system for wear and tear
  • Make sure that your tires still have good tread and pressure (rotate them, too)

Every 40,000 Miles

  • Make sure your Beetle parts haven’t incurred any corrosion
  • Inspect tire rod ends and boots
  • Make sure the underbody sealant is still strong
  • Top off all fluid levels as necessary, particularly power steering fluid
  • Check frost protection
  • Replace all filters as necessary, particularly the dust and pollen filter
  • Inspect the final drive, transmission, and drive shaft boots
  • Make sure all lighting works properly
  • Check exhaust system

Note: Your technician should also be checking for any miscellaneous leaks or tears around the vehicle. Volkswagen beetle tire service avon in
