This construction creates a better flow of air into the combustion chamber, allowing the engine to better breathe, creating a more efficient fuel burn. The engine also features variable intake and exhaust timing to open the valves for a certain amount of time to let in air, improving both fuel efficiency and performance.

In addition to a fuel economy of an EPA-estimated 32 MPG combined, the VW Golf has a 13.2-gallon tank.¹ This long-lasting gas mileage and ample fuel tank will allow you to take long trips or spend the day running errands without constantly visiting the pump.
